Blues clinch first franchise win

In what was an absolute nail-biter, the Blues defeated the Brewers to lock down their first win in franchise history. Though it wasn’t without its drama.

The Brewers mounted a charge in the 9th inning but a solid throw from third baseman Jordan Rector to catcher Mike Kay nailed Josh Duncan racing for home and a bobbled ball on the infield to secure the lead. The offense was lead by Brad Hank and David Dupas both going 3 for 5 with single RBI’s coming from David Dupas, Jordan Rector, Christian Dupas and Jim Farr who drove in a run in his only at bat of the game before pulling a quad.

A solid pitching performance from Chris Woods who went 9 innings for the complete game win giving up only 3 runs.

Blues and Brewers renew their rivalry July 11th at 12:30.
